ere's what we do that Referee magazine doesn't — or can't:
- Provide the news (free!) daily, not just stale paragraphs that review what happened but actual links to the stories. (News links)
- Give you every week in every featured sport a chance to re-read selected articles from our archives. Note: We update lacrosse and volleyball just once a month, but try finding anything about those sports in the pages "the other guys" provide. (Instant replay)
- Tell you the date the articles you will read and by whom. (On deck)
- Set up hot links to reference points relevant to the piece you're reading. Whether it's a link to some site on the Web or an Officiating.com article, you will be instantly transported to additional, important information. There's no need for you to leaf through back issues, trying to find that article you remember reading but don't remember when. Note that there are hot links in this story (news links, instant replay, on deck).
- Supply information on minor sports. Typically, in Referee you'll find pieces on baseball, basketball, football, softball, and soccer. We cover those sports also. But check out their pages for information on hockey or rugby. Let us know how much you find — and how often.
- Publish new articles every weekday, 52 weeks out of the year! In the 59 weeks since we starting updating Monday through Friday, we've published 635 articles. That's an average of almost 11 articles a week.
